Friday Find: I Love London lunchbox
Readers, I have a bad habit. Some of you may share it - the compulsion to throw my disposable (and sometimes indisposable) income in the direction of superfluous kitchen items. London enables this addiction - from Columbia Road to Ladbroke Grove there are emporiums of domestic loveliness lurking all over the city. So I'm channeling this addiction into a new series - Friday Finds. Cool, quirky and useful food finds from around the smoke.
First up is the adorable plastic I Love London lunchbox above from Constructive Lives, a homewares store on the corner of Portobello Road and Golborne Road in W10. The typeface and the 60s-y illustrations put an instant smile on my face - the artist isn't credited, but the illustrations reminded me of the sketches in a series of children's books about a bear called Albert who lived in a flat in Marylebone. If someone can tell me who the illustrator is, or even that I didn't dream the ursine bachelor Albert, I'd be very grateful!
You can't miss the shop - just look for the place that looks like an inside-out Rubicks cube...
Check back here next Friday for another find!

What a cute lunchbox. I always think it makes lunch much more fun to have a nice container. And I'm now looking forward to future Friday finds!
Thanks Nora - got a cracker in mind for next Friday. K x
I want to live with Albert in his Marylebone flat - do you know if he's still single? hee hee hee

Ooh that's just adorable! I found this moomin thermos in good old topshop....

Rej - WANT a Moomin flask, even if we have to go to Finland to get one...
That is beautiful... I really want to buy some now. PS there is a Moomin shop up in Arsenal on Mountgrove Road (I think). It ONLY sells Moomin stuff. Only. Seriously?! That may be your option...
There's a Moomin shop?! Taxi - N5!...
AND a moomin cookbook out too which no doubt you'll be reviewing!
Lovely - I can see myself spending more money on Fridays already...

Salty, I think you must mean Albert the Bear by Alison Jezard, illustrations by Margaret Gordon.
Peanuts - thank you!
According to Google Albert actually 'lived in th east End of London and always wore a flat cap' - he was a hipster!
